The European rail social partners, the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF) and the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER) organised in 2013 the joint project PSR Rail – Identify and prevent psychosocial risks within the railway sector.
The project had on the one hand the objective to analyse and identify what are the specific psychosocial risks linked with the some railway professions and on the other hand to elaborate possible actions to be taken in the companies to prevent such risks and find possible solutions.
The project produced a publication PSR Rail – a guide to identifying and preventing psychosocial risks at work in the railway sector that gives a theoretical framework to better understand what the psychosocial risks are and includes some examples of action plans that can be put in place to address the risks. Particular attention is dedicated to the psychosocial risks resulting from restructuring processes.
This publication targets all stakeholders involved in the prevention of psychosocial risks in the rail sector: employer representatives, HR departments, occupational safety and health departments, prevention departments and employee representatives at all levels.
