The ETF 14 May action day against further liberalisation in road transport mobilised thousands of trade union activists and rank and file members working in the sector. First round of estimate figures indicate about 10,000 colleagues participating in the action, calling, faxing, emailing and tweeting Commissioner Kallas in a determined effort to say ‘NO!’ to further liberalisation in road transport in Europe. The ETF launched the action at 09:00 by sending the first email, fax and tweet message to the Commissioner. The ETF Road Transport Section President and the Members of the Section Steering Committee follow swift with their personal messages by email and fax. The action received support from other European Trade Union Federations and from Members of the European Parliament. See photos from the national and local actions here.
