In the framework of the ETF/Syndex Project EWCs in Transport: More and better participation now!, a seminar took place in Paris on 13-14 May.
The participants, coming from different transport sectors, had the opportunity to actively analyse the role of national and European works councils (EWCs). The explored the opportunities and the limits of an EWC. Concrete exercises were conducted to test the capacity of the participants to address real problems of restructuring in different countries and how the EWC platform could be used in this respect.
Another session addressed corporate social responsibility (CSR) and how a company’s CSR report could be used by EWC members to raise concerns.
