On 27 and 28 November, our Italian affiliate FILT CGIL held its National Congress in Milan. Our General Secretary and President both attended the event, which commemorated the memory of Alessandro Rocchi.

Unions are most effective when working together across borders. We brought affiliates together to work on the challenges facing fishers across the Mediterranean.

Italian unions Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl and Uiltrasporti called a strike on Friday 26 October to fight for social protection and decent working conditions in the railway sector.

The first day of our Fair Transport action week is behind us and ETF affiliates have already taken part all over Europe. We are astonished at the support that we got in only 36 hours.
